Called to order 7:05PM

Present: Jeff, Kathy, Heidi, John. total in attendance 11

Minutes from secretary-Kathy, Motion to approve annual 2009 minutes Joann 2nd Dennis, carried

Treasurers report- Heidi, checkbook $2141.68 Savings $1078.25 Loan balance $6621.04. Heidi was unable to do a complete treasurers report. Complete report will be available to view at the club house. Motion to approve partial treasurer report Red 2nd    Jeff J carried

The following report is from the agenda:


OLD BUSINESS:

a. & b. Pistol Range/Rifle Range: A lot of work has been done, still more to do. We blocked the drive area-post and cable-walk only. Will let grass grow natural. Need to split the bench or make it more stable. Need to remeasure the 50 & 100 range. Need to look at getting signs made to direct people to the club house.

c. Sporting Clays: Thrower pretty rough, need to baby it and only use for events..

d. Trap Range: Good and ready to go. Jeff J will take a look at the traps

e. Skeet Range: Great shape. Need to get a “semi-set schedule” so it can be put on the webstite. Will post Wednesday afternoons

g. Building Committee: Need to stain the picnic tables, deck, and put electric in the food serving area.

h. Pig Roast: Was succesful, Kathy made a booklet on last years event and will use that to make plans for the 2010 event. The pig roast will be on Labor Day Sunday

i. Ice Fishing Contest: was a good fund raiser for the club. Sold 491 cash tickets and 300 fishing tickets.

    j. Cash Raffle: Looking for ideas. Was suggested by Brenda to keep the $100 raffle and run it like the snowmobile club. Was agreed to do 50 tickets at $100; 5 winners 1-$1000; 2-$500; 2-$250 for a 50% payout. The tickets are offered to GC members first and need to be paid for by 6/13/2010. After 6/13 we will “go public”


NEW BUSINESS:

a. Club house opening dates first Thursday, May 6th,

b. League starting date Thursday, May 27. Will do total birds.

    c. Lawn care-Variety of people will mow, need to look at purchasing a new mower. Will contact Cut Rite and Tri-County for a bid.

d. Sign up Sheets/Score keeping by youth- Sign up will be in the club house. 4 guys to score: Triston, Brian, Steven and Paul

e. Help behind the bar/sign up- Kathy and volunteers. Jeff & Richie will be cooking need to look into a new grill.

f. Membership- $35 single; $45 family, for youth without family plan $10. Lines will be $3 for member, $5 for non-member; $1 for youth under 18 still in school with a membership. Score keepers will get a free membership. Motion by Dennis to increase 2nd by Red carried.

g. Skeet schedule-Wednesday for skeet. Larry will get schedule to the club house for law enforcement. Email will be sent to the members that use skeet regular. Was suggested to get a desk calendar that dates can be posted when the club house/range will be in use.

h.Gun Club Picnic/open house-Sunday, June 13th will be for members, families, friends. Everyone will be a “member for the day” and pay the $3 to shoot. The guys will score, will do pot luck for food, Kathy will coordinate the food.

i. General maintenance/ work day-Sunday, April 18, 10-? Need to do yard maintenance, clean the club house, finish projects already started.

j. Sunday schedule- trap 10-2, Each board member will work 1 Sunday. Need members to help out on this.

k. Wireless mikes-Viginia club wants to buy our old ones. We will look at this in the fall.

l. Compter/Printer-software has been purchased. Bill S will keep score, Tammy will look for the compter/printer agreed that the printer/toner etc will not be over $150

m. Prebuy shells 20 ga & 12 ga. We will do Diana's $48 per case for 20 or 12; Winchester has a deal where you can get a case for $70 with a $20 rebate max of 5 cases. Contact Jeff Rasmussen for more info on the shells. Shells must be paid for by 6/3/10

n. Purchase of property by the gun club and future concerns- Jeff will continue to attend meetings, need to get info from the FAA on how we can purchase.


EELECTION OF OFFICERS:


a. Board of Directors- 3yr term- motion to keep Tim by Jeff J 2nd Dennis carried

b. Vice President- 2yr term -motion by Jeff to keep John 2nd Joe carried.

c. Secretary- 2yr term-motion by Larry to keep Kathy 2nd Red carried


Door prizes: Bill Spence won a case of Shells; Al Kolve won a membership


Next meeting will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 7PM at the club house.
