CABLE ROD AND GUN CLUB January 4, 2012 6PM CALL MEETING TO ORDER- Jeff 6:06 7 in attendance MINUTES BY SECRETARY- KATHY Motion to accept as presented by John 2nd by Dennis carried TREASURER’S REPORT- HEIDI- Checking $355.07 Savings $4078.10 loan ZERO. Motion to accept as presented Red 2nd Kathy carried. Paid loan and Rasmussen & Sons in full. We have enough birds for the season order shells in the spring. OLD & NEW BUSINESS: Airport-Not a lot of news! Still looking to get a value Ice Fishing Contest-Saturday February 4th at the Loon Saloon. Will have 4-5 big raffles; 50/50 drawings. Cash raffle: 12 cash winners 1-$300; 1-$200; 5-$100; 5-$50 total payout of $1250. Tickets have been mailed to some of the members. WHSM will be there doing a live remote to help promote. Kathy will contact Bottom Line for an ad; and put articles in County Journal, Ashland paper, Sawyer Co Record, Heathers column. Fax flier to WRLS. Posters up around the area. Tickets are sold at Cable Cafe, R Place Cafe, Loon Saloon. Gun Stands- Done and delivered! Several members are helping out at the event. Ideas: Looking for ways to save money for members. Talked about selling cases of shells at a discount (instead of preorder) and selling single boxes for $7.
